Paso Del Rio is overseen by Todd and his wife, Kenlynn, stewards who relocated from a small mountain community in Northwest Montana to the hidden heart of California’s Central Coast. Having spent years caretaking properties near the Canadian border, they brought their deep respect for land management and “backwoods” adventure to our 1,100-acre sanctuary. For Todd and Kenlynn, the ranch is a rare glimpse into a California that few know exists—a place where life is lived simply, outdoors, and in rhythm with the wildlife that calls this valley home.

Todd and Kenlynn are a true team, complementing one another to ensure the ranch thrives. While Todd focuses on trail safety and the “outback” experience, Kenlynn brings a personal touch to every arrival, making sure each guest feels especially welcome and at home the moment they arrive.

The Heritage:
Our Resident Herd
While the ranch is home to miles of trails, the heart of the property for Todd and Kenlynn is the herd of 80 cattle. From watching new calves in the spring to visiting “Cow-Cow,” their resident rescue cow who lives out her best life in the sunny meadows, the livestock are a vital part of the daily ranch story.

Whether they are exploring Turtle Creek Trail to the falls or sitting bankside with their feet in the Nacimiento, Todd and Kenlynn find constant inspiration in the land. From the call of bald eagles to the resident Blue Heron on the bridge, they ensure the ranch remains a quiet stage for nature’s daily routines.
