Paso Del Rio Ranch is a peaceful, welcoming, and deeply restorative retreat, that we have had the pleasure of visiting on a couple of occasions.

The setting is absolutely beautiful, with wide open landscapes, fresh air, and a calm atmosphere that makes it easy to disconnect from stress and reconnect with yourself and nature. The presence of local wildlife and cattle throughout the property adds to the authenticity of the ranch experience, making it feel truly connected to the land and its natural rhythms.

The accommodations are comfortable and thoughtfully prepared, and the entire property has a warm, authentic charm that makes each stay feel both relaxing and memorable. One of the highlights is spending time outdoors and enjoying the ranch environment, which feels grounding and rejuvenating from the moment you arrive.

What truly makes the experience special, though, are the hosts, Kenlynn and Todd. Their kindness, hospitality, and genuine care create an atmosphere that feels personal and welcoming from start to finish. You can tell they’ve put their hearts into creating a place where guests can slow down, recharge, and feel completely at ease.

Paso Del Rio Ranch is a one of a kind experience, mixing the beautiful outdoors and luxurious accommodations. Upon driving through the gates, you’ll be amazed by the well kept grounds, The Lodge, and The Clubhouse. Both overlook a large pond with a small island connected by a swinging bridge. The views beyond the pond are filled with rolling hills, oak trees, spectacular rock outcroppings, and beautiful sunsets.

The abundance of wildlife makes you feel like you are truly in their natural habitat. Surrounded by ducks, deer, wild pigs, birds, and many other native species. Continue driving or walking around the property, and you’ll find sprawling grassy meadows, another larger pond, and the Nacimiento River. The covered horse arena, stables, and trails make this an equestrian paradise.

Staying at The Lodge or Clubhouse is relaxing, peaceful, and a great gathering place for friends and family. The Duck Cabin is on its own level with secluded beauty and cozy feel. You will feel like you’ve stepped back in time and been greeted with Mother Nature’s true magic.

There’s nothing better than having a nice glass of wine or a fresh cup of coffee on the deck overlooking the Duck Pond left behind by the large Nacimiento River. We’ve spent many nights at both locations and both are special and unique in their own way.

This is your destination if you are into peace, adventure, and luxurious accommodations. You won’t want to leave, but you will come back!

I highly recommend Paso Del Rio Ranch for family and friends when the hustle of city life is getting stressful. Whether it’s a special occasion or a vacation, it’s the ideal place. I brought my family, and we absolutely loved everything about it. The nature, having a river all to yourself, waking up to a view of cows and deer, and of course, the hospitality. Kenlynn and Todd were so helpful, polite, and very accommodating during our stay.

I also have to point out that the food was excellent. Cleanliness was outstanding as well. As a family, we have decided to make it a point to visit every year. I give this destination five ⭐️s. Thank you, Paso Del Rio, we will see you on our next adventure!

Paso del Rio Ranch is the place to stay! We love the rolling hills, the wildlife, and most importantly, the lack of city noise. The accommodations are excellent, the bedrooms very comfortable ~ we felt right at home. It is so peaceful and relaxing that we didn’t want to leave. We love wide open spaces!

What a special place! Paso Del Rio is what the Central Coast of California is all about. Mountains, rivers, ponds, wildlife, great wines, and fantastic food. The lodge is set up perfectly with accommodations you’d expect at a high-end resort while still giving you that old west feel. The crew at the ranch are second to none. They make you feel like you’re at your own ranch as soon as you pull in. Can’t wait to be back!

Our stay at this beautiful ranch Paso Del Rio was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and hospitality that made us feel completely at home. The lodge itself was stunning — beautifully furnished, incredibly comfortable, and the perfect place to relax and take in the peaceful surroundings.

The property is absolutely breathtaking. The views are incredible in every direction, and the lake adds such a calm and scenic touch to the experience. Everywhere we looked there was natural beauty, wildlife, and open space that made it feel like a true escape.

One of the highlights of our visit was spending time with the animals, especially the cows. We completely fell in love with “Cow Cow,” who was so friendly and gentle. Being able to hand-feed and pet her was such a fun and memorable experience. It’s not every day you get to connect with animals like that in such a beautiful setting.

Every part of our visit felt special — touring the property, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, seeing the wildlife, and simply soaking in the beauty of the ranch. It was an experience we’ll always remember, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to stay there.
